Tripp Lite’s story began in 1922, when Graham Trippe founded the Trippe Manufacturing Company in Chicago, initially producing automotive headlights. Over time, the company recognized a growing need for dependable power solutions, leading to its first power inverters and surge protectors. As personal computers and data centers became more common, Tripp Lite introduced uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) that safeguarded critical devices against outages. Its product range soon broadened to include KVM switches, power distribution units (PDUs), and rack enclosures, supporting IT professionals in managing complex infrastructures. In 2021, Tripp Lite joined Eaton, uniting decades of expertise with a global leader in power management. Today, Tripp Lite remains at the forefront of power protection and connectivity, helping individuals and businesses keep their vital electronics running smoothly in an ever-evolving digital world.
